On the discord app the IDLE status means you open the app but not look at it. When you open the discord on your computer or web browser but have not looked at it in a while. Mostly you open the app and start doing something else, then it shows the Idle status.
How to manually set your Discord status as “Idle”
Most Discord users are automatically shown as idle when they have Discord open in their computer or browser but haven’t looked at it in a while. If this is irritating and annoying you then you can manually set this by following the these steps:
- Open Discord and log in to your account.
- Click on your profile picture in the bottom left corner of your screen.
- On the next screen you will see listing various user statuses.
- On that statuses Click on “Idle”.
- Now, your user status will appear as idle automatically, even if you’re currently active on Discord.
