OnePlus 6T starts receiving OxygenOS 9.0.6, improves screen unlock and more

The OnePlus has always brought in some amazing features like introducing OS updates to its smartphones. Now it has launched another update that optimizes the screen lock procedure known as Oxygen OS update.

  • It has bough system level changes, few improvements in optimization and bug fixes.
  • It has improved the unlocking experience on device wherein in-display fingerprint scanner has been upgraded. With time the scanner will become more secure and faster.
  • It has also improved battery life by optimizing the standby power consumption.
  • Image processing on the camera app has also improved as one can take pretty good shots.
  • It has also added APN on version network in terms of better communication.
  • Users can now get play store notifications too which was earlier not available.

Those who are using OxygenOS 9.0.5 on their device will receive notification of the new software update. The update is delivered OTA and may take few days to reach all users. This is because a company wants to ensure there are no critical bugs.

You can check for an update manually by visiting setting app in System Updates => Check For Updates.

Hence, it is to be noted that this is the third update from OnePlus 6T and has already been rolled out. OnePlus is doing a great job by rolling out timely updates and bringing in some new features which are helpful for masses.
