My iPhone Is Not Letting Me Download Apps

The app store for iOS has a collection of amazing apps which allows you to literally most of the things on your iPhone. You just have to create an apple ID and start downloading any app from the store. Also all your subscriptions and payment methods can be managed using that apple ID. But sometimes you might be facing some issue and wondering why my iPhone is not letting me download apps! How to deal with the problem when you can’t download the app on iPhone

Here are a few methods that can be used when you try to download an app but the iPhone doesn’t let you download apps:

Open the App Store and sign in

If you open the app store and a blue account appears at the top that means you may not be signed in till now. Tap on it to sign in with your Apple ID and passwords. 

Check your payment method

If your iPhone doesn’t let you download the app from the app store then you have to check the payment method on file, even if the app you want to download is free. To check the payment method you have to follow these few steps:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Select your name.
  • Tap Payment & Shipping.
  • iPhone may be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
  • From here, you can check and update payment methods.

Restart your iPhone

Restarting your iPhone will sort lots of errors and bugs. If your iPhone doesn’t let you download the app then restart your iPhone.

How to restart iPhone X or later

  • Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. 
  • After a minute, start your iPhone again. 
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

How to restart your iPhone SE (1st generation), 5 or earlier

  • Press and hold the top button until the power-off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. 
  • After a minute, start your iPhone again. 
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.
