Twitter has finally brought the life saving feature on its DM Wednesday. Search button existed before but it could only be used to find people’s names and group chats names. The new update now allows you to use it to find content from conversations too.
We know you’ve been waiting for the option to search your DMs…

Twitter announced this feature yesterday with a tweet that reads, “We know you’ve been waiting for the option to search your DMs… Now you can use the search bar in your inbox to find specific messages using keywords and names.”
We have tested the feature and yeah it works really well on the web, iOS and Android apps. However, it is showing up results from 2020-2022 only! There isn’t anything coming from 2019 or earlier. Lets hope twitter will fix this and show results from 2019 and earlier too.
Also it took really long for twitter to bring this content search to life. The company had revealed that content search is coming later in 2021 when they brought DM search for Android. Well, all we can say say here “better late than never!”.
