Step#1 Navigate to Google Account Recovery

In order to go to Google Account Recovery page, open Google on a PC and then enter a search string “Google recovery” in the search bar.

Step#2 Enter your email address

Once you landed on the account recovery page, to recover your Google account you first have to enter your email or phone. Here you will get to see different recovery methods including:

Step#4 Click on “Try another way”

Next, you will get redirected on the phone verification method. If you have access to your phone, click on “Yes”. Google will then send a verification code to your phone, which you must enter in the specified field to verify your identity.

But if you didn’t have any phone number linked or else when you don’t have access to your phone, you will not be able to use this method. Thus, you have to click on “Try another way”to proceed.

Step#5 Click on “Try another way” again

Once you make a click on “Try another way”, you will then land on the “Get a verification code” page.

Quite similar to the above step if you have access to your phone, just click on “Send” to send a verification code to your number, enter the verification code to verify your identity. If not then simply click on “Try another way” again.

Step#6 Wait for 48 hours

Having that done, Google will now send you a link to reset your password. All you have to do is to wait and check your email after 48 hours.

Note: You need to be logged in to your Gmail or Google account at someplace or some other device, as the password reset link will be sent to the same email addressthat you are trying to recover.

Step#7 Check your email inbox for the recovery link

Now, after the stipulated time of 48 hours, keep checking to on Gmail on the device you are already logged in and check your inbox.
