Cupertino based smartphone company has sent out media invites for it’s upcoming event. The new invitation is designed differently then previous one’s. Apple’s invites are usually themed around upcoming products. But, this one features a gold ring on black background with message “Gather Round”. Apple hasn’t shared any details about what’s coming on it’s September 12 event but we can expect 2018 iPhone lineup.
What’s Expected in Apple Event?
New iPhone X(s)
There are rumors that three new iPhone models will be revealed at the Apple event which includes an iPhone X successor, iPhone X Plus and a new affordable iPhone. All these models are tipped to feature iPhone X’s notch, edge-to-edge display, Face ID and gesture-based navigation system.
According to reports, The iPhone X successor will sport a 5.8-inch OLED display and is codenamed D32 and it will see an incremental upgrade, with changes mainly in the processor and camera departments.
The larger variant, iPhone X Plus (D33) is expected to be the largest iPhone to date. It’s tipped to come with 6.5-inch OLED panel. In terms of software, the largest iPhone will have the ability to view content side-by-side in apps like Mail and Calendar.
The most affordable iPhone is rumored to be codenamed N84 and will sport a 6.1 inch LCD screen. It is also being said that one of the new iPhone models will support dual-sim connectivity in select markets.
Apple Watch Series 4
Another big rumor is that Apple will be revealing Apple Watch Series 4 with a new design and increased screen size. The new watch might also have solid state buttons and a better heart rate detector.
Apple iPad Pro
We also expect to see two new iPad Pro models with Face ID and no home button. According to 9to5mac, the new models should include an 11-inch version, up from 10.5-inches, and a 12.9-inch version.

We might also get to hear about AirPower, Apple’s wireless charging mat that was previewed last September. Maybe we will get to see a new version of AirPods featuring the built-in “Hey Siri” recognition. Also there could be Mac Updates like A new Mac mini or A MacBook Air replacement with Retina display. We should also learn about when Apple plans to release iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12.
