Continuing the good show in 3Q of 2020 in India, China and build upon its early performance, MediaTek becomes the largest smartphone chip supplier worldwide.
Reportedly MediaTek Inc , the Taiwan-based ic-chip designer company has left behind its closest rival Qualcomm to become the largest smartphone chip supplier worldwide. Based on the performance in Q3 of the year, where the company managed a greater hold in global market with over 100 million smartphones sold internationally with MediaTek chipsets.
MediaTek superior work has ensured the company to capture nearly 31 percent market share of the global smartphone chip market in the third quarter i.e.; from July to September, while Qualcomm had only managed to gain 29 percent of total market share. The company gets a huge benefit from sales growth in two major markets including China and India.
