Netflix Acquires Another Mobile Studio as it Builds out Gaming Business

Netflix is expanding its gaming business and for a major push, they’ve acquired yet another mobile studio. The recent addition to it’s game studios is a Texas based firm called Boss Fight Entertainment. It is third game studio that OTT giant has acquired recently following Oxenfree developer Night School and Next Games.

Oxenfree and Next Games is the team which created Stranger Things puzzle game and Boss Fight’s past work is a mobile strategy game called Dungeon Boss.

Amir Rahimi, Netflix’s VP of games studios in this regard stated that, “this studio’s extensive experience building hit games across genres will help accelerate our ability to provide Netflix members with great games wherever they want to play them.”

Netflix is pushing really hard to capture the mobile gaming market too. They announced three new games to its platform recently. They are acquiring established studios and have made mobile games as a part of Netflix subscription package.
