Max Payne was first released in 2001, and the sequel came out two years later. Now, about two decades after, both games will be remake for current generation. Rockstar Games will be remaking Max Payne and its sequel in collaboration with Remedy Entertainment, which developed the original games. The latter also happens to be the publisher of the original games.Although as it stands, the announcement simply means that Max Payne remakes are going forward. It will take some time before they actually hit the market. They will be available on current-generation consoles and PCs when they are released. Remedy will combine both games into a single modern title for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X with its proprietary Northlight game engine. Additionally, Remedy is also developing Alan Wake 2, which isn’t expected to release until 2023.
